Performs financial/accounting support in accordance with DOL, PRH, Contract Center, and Serrato Corporation's requirements, supervises and trains Accountant and Accounting Clerks. Ensures integrity of accounting entries, ledger account entries, bank reconciliation and profit and loss statements.

<div><strong>Primary Position Objectives</strong></div><p> </p><div>Performs financial/accounting support in accordance with DOL, PRH, Contract Center, and Serrato Corporation's requirements, supervises and trains Accountant and Accounting Clerks.</div><p><br/><strong>Brief Description of Duties</strong></p><div><div><ul><li>Supervises Center finance functions.</li><li>Prepares Center budgets and furnishes requested financial information to Corporate Finance.</li><li>Prepares DOL Reports required by Regional and National Office.</li><li>Administers small business and minority subcontracting plan.</li><li>Coordinates corporate and federal audits.</li><li>Prepares other accounting analysis and other duties as required by the Center Director.</li><li>Maintains direct contact with all Center Managers, Center Director, Corporate Finance and Auditors.</li><li>Monitors assigned area to ensure high quality and timely services.</li><li>Prepares data for financial statements and management information reports. Ensures integrity of accounting entries, ledger account entries, bank reconciliation and profit and loss statements.</li><li>Maintains Center operations cost data and analysis. Oversees and monitors staff payroll, accounts payable, interest fund and petty cash processes.</li><li>Reconciles accounts and balances books.</li><li>Maintains accurate database, records, ledgers, logs and journals.</li><li>Adheres to required property control policies and procedures.</li><li>Works towards meeting performance management goals.</li><li>Evaluates personnel under his/her management and makes recommendations regarding disciplinary actions, promotions, and/or merit increases.</li><li>Follows CDSS plan and Code of Conduct system daily.</li><li>Maintains good housekeeping in all areas and complies with safety practices.</li><li>Complies with all DOL guidelines, OFCCP regulation, Quality Assurance Plan (QAP), Serrato policies and procedures, Job Corps notices and bulletins, and Center policies and procedures.</li><li>Demonstrates and abides by Serrato Corporation's core values and operating principles.</li><li>Models, mentors, monitors appropriate Career Success Standards.</li><li>Helps students become more employable through continuous reinforcement.</li><li>Participation in PRH-mandated staff training is mandatory. Failure to participate may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination.</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li></ul><br/><div><strong>Qualifications</strong></div><br/><div>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. </div><ul><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Power Point, Outlook, and Excel.</li><li>Computer literacy with basic computer functions, email, internet, and basic programs such as Adobe Acrobat.</li><li>Proficiency in accounting/finance software and/or programs.</li><li>Ability to analyze financial data and communicate results to management.</li><li>Ability to work in fast paced deadline-oriented situation.</li><li>High level of leadership and management skills.</li></ul></div></div><p> </p><div><div><strong>Experience</strong></div><br/><div>One-year accounting/finance or related experience required. One-year supervisory experience preferred.</div></div><p><br/><br/></p><div><strong>Education</strong></div><p> </p><div>Associates degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field required, Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
