Position Overview:
Being a Student Maintenance Technician at International Motors, you don't just fix machines—you conquer complex challenges! Every day, you're on the front lines, expertly troubleshooting, repairing, and rebuilding everything from intricate CNC and PLC systems to heavy industrial giants, all while upholding the highest safety standards. Your precision in interpreting schematics, coupled with your mastery of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems, ensures seamless operation. You're a true hands-on problem-solver, adept at metal fabrication, welding, and even piloting forklifts, constantly driving efficiency and innovation in a fast-paced manufacturing world!

Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Active participating student in the Rocket City FAME Advanced Manufacturing Technician program</li><li>Attend class two days per week and work on site three days per week</li><li>Demonstrate overall safe work behavior, including the utilization of proper safety equipment and adherence to safety guidelines</li><li>Receive, manage and complete time sensitive work order assignments</li><li>Read and interpret schematics and completes repairs for hydraulic/pneumatic, electrical and mechanical systems</li><li>Repair Computer Numeric Control (CNC) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) equipment</li><li>Breakdown, clean, rebuild, troubleshoot and repair pumps, air motors, welders, fluid power systems, gear drives, heavy industrial machinery and controls</li><li>Apply mechanical/electrical aptitude and skills to solve production related problems</li><li>Troubleshoot, repair and rebuild production and non-production machines and equipment based on written and oral instruction</li><li>Repair material handling equipment</li><li>Perform metal fabrication, welding, and heavy equipment repair</li><li>Work with maintenance organization to resolve open issues</li><li>Diagnose equipment failures at the system and component levels</li><li>Work with team leaders to perform scheduled maintenance on equipment</li><li>Drive or operate equipment such as forklifts and/or motor vehicles</li><li>Other duties as assigned</li></ul>

Minimum Requirements:
<ul><li>High School Diploma or GED</li></ul>AND<ul><li>Accepted into the Rocket City Federation for Advanced Manufacturing Education (FAME)</li></ul>AND<ul><li>Accepted and enrolled into Calhoun College’s AMT program and fulfilled school requirements</li></ul>

<ul><li><div style="margin:0px">Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
