TSP provides services focused on teaching daily living skills, social and recreational skills, time management skills, interpersonal skills, conflict resolution skills, coping skills and symptom management skills; with the ultimate goal of helping Young Adults transition to independent living. TSP is a Supported Apartment Program for Young Adults ages 18-25 and is staffed 24/7 by a multidisciplinary team consisting of an Employment Specialist, Therapist, Residential Counselors, Administrative Assistant, Residential Supervisor and Program Director.
p>Education: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) diploma/certification required or Nursing education sufficient to receive licensure in CT.

Experience: Two years’ experience in the provision of mental health services required for applicants without a Bachelor’s degree; Experience working with adults with Serious Mental Illness in a residential or supported living setting preferred; experience providing skills building teaching in group format preferred. Group topics include nutritional counseling, money management, ADLs, interpersonal skills, medication management, coping skills, substance use education and leisure skills.
li> Teaches and assists all residents in areas of rehab including: nutrition and healthy living, meal preparation, hygiene, laundry, banking and budgeting, and basic home care skills.
p>A community based group home that provides 24 hour staffing and a built-in therapeutic component for 5 girls, aged 13-18 who have experienced trauma and loss, who have serious emotional and behavioral problems and who have lived in more restrictive programs or institutions.
li>Complies and shares knowledge of appropriate community resources and assists in linking clients to behavioral health and addiction follow up care, natural (family, friends) supports, community resources including LGBTQ+, Veteran’s and/or other support groups in a culturally informed, strength-based manner. Licensure/Certification/Registration: Recovery Support Specialist Certification from Advocacy Unlimited, Recovery Coach Certification from CCAR, or an equivalent certification related to the field of Recovery Support required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
p>Mills House is a community-based group home which provides 24 hour staffing and a built in therapeutic component for 5 boys aged 14-21 who have experienced serious emotional and behavioral problems, and who have lived in more restrictive programs or institutions. The program emphasizes maximizing each boy's ability to develop skills for living successfully outside of an institutional setting through the participation in normative community activities.
