**THESE POSITIONS ARE FOR SAINT FRANCIS STUDENTS ONLY** Creative Dining Services is currently accepting applications for General Food Service workers at our location on The University of Saint Francis campus in Fort Wayne, IN! General Food Service Workers perform a wide rangeof duties involved with preparing and/or serving food and beverages in one or more of a variety of food service environments. May assist in set up and service; and collection of garbage/trash; as appropriate to the area of operation. May serve food to customers and/or perform cashiering duties, as appropriate. Core Responsibilities of the General Food Service Worker: <ul><li>Sets up food service, kitchen, or salad area facilities, equipment and utensils, under detailed instruction, in accordance with specific area needs; checks food temperatures and/or prepares areas for daily operations; may operate cooking or bakery equipment as assigned. </li><li>Prepares or assists in the preparation of hot and cold meals and beverages. </li><li>Serves food items to customers from counters and/or steam tables, in accordance with specific instructions, ensuring that appropriate portions are served. As needed, replenishes foods, silverware, glassware, dishes, and trays at serving stations; may order and replenish condiments. </li><li>May clean and maintain work areas, including floors, facilities, dishes, utensils, and equipment; collects and places garbage and trash in designated containers; as appropriate to the area of operation. </li><li>Washes pots, pans, and other service ware ensuring sanitary handling; organizes and replaces service ware to appropriate location. </li><li>Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. </li></ul> The Ideal Candidate Will Have: <ul><li>High School graduate or equivalent preferred </li><li>Basic reading and math skills </li><li>Must be able to communicate and understand primary language(s) use by guests who typically visit the work location </li><li>Foodservice/hospitality experience preferred</li><li>ServSafe certification is a plus, but not required </li></ul> About Creative Dining Services Creative Dining Services partners with colleges, universities, Fortune 100 companies, full-service senior living communities, conference centers and K-12 schools and camps to provide a different kind of hospitality and facility management services experience-one that's fun, innovative, and focused on your community. The teacher training program at Rudae’s is a comprehensive 1000-hour program that prepares students to obtain licensure in the state of Indiana in either cosmetology or esthetics.

 The teacher training program at Rudae’s is a comprehensive 1000-hour program that prepares students to obtain licensure in the state of Indiana in either cosmetology or esthetics. The student instructor is responsible for completing assigned coursework, demonstrating techniques, assisting the lead instructor with classroom instruction, and providing feedback to students. Pell grants and student loans are available to those who qualify to help cover the cost of attendance. This is a paid student position that could lead to future employment.  Qualifications ·         Patient and attentive with a passion for teaching ·         Strong communication and interpersonal skills ·         Proficiency in relevant beauty and wellness techniques ·         Ability to work well in a team environment ·         A cosmetology or esthetics license is required ·         At least 6 months of experience in the industry
