Funds from this initiative have been used to bolster population-related research in the social sciences through the establishment of Notre Dame Population Analytics (ND Pop). ND Pop will be hiring a Predoctoral Research Associate who will work with faculty in the Department of Economics to assist in their empirical research.This position will work under the direction of applied microeconomists Evan Mast and Rob Collinson. Both Mast and Collinson specialize in urban economics. The predoc will assist on a variety of projects analyzing housing construction costs, historical neighborhood geography, eviction interventions, and the effects of housing voucher policies.This is an excellent opportunity for a student considering graduate school and would be a bridge between college and graduate school for students interested in empirical applied microeconomic research. Research associates will perform a variety of tasks including coordinating project logistics, creating analysis files, statistically analyzing data, helping to create presentations, editing research papers, assisting in the preparation of grant proposals, assisting in the writing of IRB protocols and data sharing agreements (if necessary), and assisting in the dissemination of project results.This is a two year limited-term position based in South Bend, IN at the University of Notre Dame.

Job Description Position Overview: This role will engage in a range of responsibilities including general lot maintenance, receiving and delivering product, grounds maintenance and equipment compliance. Duties and Responsibilities: Include but are not limited to <ul><li>Assist with outbound and inbound Agronomy products</li><li>Operate tender trucks to provide product to custom application equipment</li><li>Ensure safety compliance</li><li>Assist in equipment maintenance</li><li>Assist in housekeeping and maintenance of facility grounds including mowing, spraying weeds, and moving snow</li><li>Communicate daily activities, needs and accomplishments to the location manager</li><li>Prepare and maintain records in accordance with regulations and company procedures</li><li>May assist in measuring inventory of dry fertilizer, NH3, UAN, and other chemicals</li><li>Serve as a backup to Applicators</li></ul> Skills and Qualifications: <ul><li>Class A or B CDL preferred, or ability to obtain Ag CDL</li><li>Strong verbal and written communications skills</li><li>Excellent time management, prioritization, and judgment skills</li><li>Possess a positive attitude, high energy, and focused attention to detail</li><li>Must have a high sense of urgency and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Strong customer service and team player attitude</li><li>Ability to work extended hours during busy seasons</li><li>Territory and agriculture knowledge is a plus</li><li>Hazmat endorsement a plus</li><li>Acceptable driving history</li></ul> Physical Requirements: <ul><li>Bending and climbing in and out of the truck</li><li>Lift 40+lbs unassisted</li></ul>
