MRI Technologist duties include but are not limited to: Demonstrate a strong and thorough knowledge of all MRI and associated equipment Obtain high-quality MR images assuring only optimal films are submitted for interpretationFacilitate the MRI procedure by selecting proper technical factors/techniques to accommodate all patients and select, prepare and administer the appropriate contrast materialPrepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices indicatedDocument all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on timeMaintain proactive and effective communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues to include the radiologistYou will check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseasesKeep room(s) stocked with necessary suppliesAccept on-call and call-back responsibilities as needed to provide optimum patient care Qualifications · Graduate of a 2-year Radiologic Technology program at an AMA-approved school · 1-3 years previous MRI Technologist experience · Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT) · Valid ARRT (R) + ARRT (MR) credentials · Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification · Organizational, verbal, interpersonal, customer relations, mathematical, analytical, grammar/spelling, computer, and clerical skills · Must be able to read/comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions Benefits HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
