Model and co-teach research-based instructional practices, including High Leverage Practices (Check for Understanding, Direct Instruction, Gradual Release of Responsibility) that support how students learn–building understanding of content, providing structured practice to process and persist through challenges, and using ongoing checks for understanding to adjust instruction based on student data. As a Classroom Teacher: Delivers instruction in assigned content areas, which may include reading, writing, spelling, language and vocabulary, math, science, social studies, technology, counseling, study skills, health, problem solving, foreign languages, ESL, family and consumer sciences, physical education, music, chorus.
