Assumes accountability for ongoing delivery of patient care during all operating hours; maintains a broad awareness of daily operations to guide patient care delivery; assures application of the nursing process by Registered Nurses in the clinical setting assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation; assures documentation of patient care in the medical record. 3. Ensures provision of qualified human resources to identified patient care needs; develops, coordinates and approves staffing time schedules, considering scope of practice, competencies, patient needs, and staff competency.
