Distinguishing Characteristics: These classes differ from the Assistant Wastewater Treatment Plant Operation and Maintenance Supervisor II, III, and IV in that the Wastewater Treatment Plant Operation and Maintenance Supervisor II, III, and IV supervises through subordinate supervisors and has immediate charge of and twenty-four (24) hour responsibility for, all operational, maintenance, overhaul and repair activities at a Class II, III, or IV wastewater treatment plant and tributary pumping plants; whereas the Assistant Wastewater Treatment Plant Operation and Maintenance Supervisor II, III, and IV assists in the supervision and participates in the operation, maintenance, overhaul and repair of a Class II, III, or IV wastewater treatment plant and it's related tributary pumping plants, equipment and facilities. Grade IV: This level is characterized by its primary responsibility for supervising through a subordinate level of supervision, all operational, maintenance, overhaul and repair activities at a Class IV wastewater treatment plant, as rated by the State Board of Certification of Operating Personnel in Wastewater Treatment Facilities.
