The Lead Welding Procurement Engineer is responsible for complex procurement actions, including vendor sourcing, solicitation, proposal evaluation, delivery, closeout, and all associated aspects of the procurement process; contract oversight to ensure all applicable contract requirements, BWXT corporate policies and Federal Acquisition Regulations are appropriately applied to procurement actions; overseeing and tracking the purchasing of materials and services to ensure all project needs and timelines are met; auditing the receiving / receipt controls of materials; auditing material stores inventories; establishing purchase requisitions with vendors through BWXT Purchasing and drafting proposals for procurements as required by BWXT procurement procedures and the BWXT contract.
