The individual hired into this role will greet patients and their families, answer and route incoming calls, complete insurance verification as needed, cash collections and the correct handling of patient charts. As a Surgery Scheduler, you will play a vital role in a successful surgical procedure.  The Surgery Scheduler is responsible for daily maintenance of the surgery schedule and all aspects of the scheduling process. Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Med/Surg (Medical/Surgical) unit. The Registered Nurse will play a crucial role in providing high-quality and compassionate care to patients with various medical and surgical conditions. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering patient-centered care. Responsibilities: Provide direct and comprehensive care to patients admitted to the Med/Surg unit, including those with medical and surgical diagnoses. Assess patients' physical and psychological needs, create individualized care plans, and implement nursing interventions accordingly. Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and manage patients' pain to ensure their comfort and safety. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to develop and implement a coordinated care plan. Monitor and interpret patients' conditions, recognizing any changes and taking appropriate actions, such as notifying physicians or initiating interventions. Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner using electronic health records. Maintain a clean and organized patient environment, adhering to infection control and safety protocols. Qualifications: Valid and current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice. Minimum 2yrs recent experience in a Med/Surg unit or a similar clinical. American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
