The clinical activities of the EMC are supported by a 24-stall hospital, a separate sports medicine clinic, ICU stalls for neonates and adults, a separate 7-stall biosafety level 2 isolation unit, 2 OR suites, a comprehensive clinical laboratory, digital radiography and ultrasonography, standing MRI (Hallmarq), computed tomography (Pegaso HD CT), nuclear scintigraphy (MiE), video gastroscopy, a comprehensive regenerative medicine laboratory, an on-site farrier service and a large technical staff including many licensed veterinary technicians. DVM or equivalent degree; successful completion of a registered residency training program by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons (ACVS); Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons (ACVS) or must have credentials accepted by ACVS and eligible to take Phase II ACVS certification examination in February 2025; must be eligible for a Virginia faculty veterinary license by appointment start date; and excellent communication skills and interpersonal interactions.
