The surgeon will manage a Mohs caseload of 900 to 1100 cases annually, with additional cases available in nearby Fort Wayne if desired. Housing is more affordable compared to nearby states and metropolitan areas, and the employment market is balanced with opportunities in healthcare and industry.
The Administrative Assistant II is primarily responsible for providing coordination that may involve collecting and analyzing information prior to presenting to management; preparing reports; expediting work results; and establishing and revising work procedures with a variety of MS Office and other applications. Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the team member practices, and Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 6 months unless department leader has determined it is not required. Answers administrative phone calls; receives and screens patients and visitor's telephone calls, e-mails and faxes, providing information and resolving complaints using good judgment and the interpretation of policies and procedures. Serves as primary contact for monitoring, ordering, stocking office supplies and managing office equipment maintenance and repair issues as well as environmental service problems.
The First Assistant (FA) serves as a member of the healthcare team and provides direct support to the surgeon during a surgical procedure by providing assistance with various tasks including preparing the surgical site, passing instruments, control bleeding, and handling tissues. The FA assumes appropriate responsibilities in the intraoperative area by scrubbing, closing incisions, assisting the RN circulator, setting up and breaking down surgical procedures, pulling and putting away supplies and equipment, and environmental service duties.
