Skills required include IV therapy/phlebotomy, central and peripheral line care, blood product administration, PICC line management, respiratory care (BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, HFNC, tracheostomy care), GI care (bowel obstruction, ostomy and feeding tube management), renal care (CBI, pre/post hemodialysis), neurological/psychiatric care (CVA, pre/post neurosurgery, substance withdrawal), medication administration (heparin, insulin, PCA), wound care/wound vac, and use of rapid response/code teams. Cares for patients with diagnoses including sepsis, CIWA, confusion, AMS, COPD, post-op care, AKI, trauma, respiratory failure, bowel obstruction, pyelonephritis, cardiac conditions, diabetes, GI conditions, isolation precautions, and SI with medical indications.
