What you will do in this role:You will set up and manage instruments, equipment, and supplies for all surgical proceduresYou will be responsible for maintaining a sterile field while passing instrumentation during an invasive procedureYou will perform appropriate counts with circulator prior to the operation and before incision is closedYou will assist in patient positioning, transporting, and obtaining needed equipmentYou will clean and prepare instruments for terminal sterilizationYou will assist in prepping room for the next patientWhat qualifications you will need:Graduation from an accredited school of Surgical Technologist or Certificate of Completion of the Operating Room Specialist Course from the Military is requiredA Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) is required in the South Carolina hospitals and is strongly preferred in the Georgia and Florida hospitalsA current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider is requiredMinimum of 1-2 years CVOR experience is requiredBasic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start dateCertified Surgical Technician (CST)Trident Health is a 445-bed HCA Healthcare hospital system comprised of two acute care hospitals, Trident Medical Center and Summerville Medical Center and three freestanding emergency departments, Brighton Park Emergency, Moncks Corner Medical Center and Centre Pointe Emergency.
