Performs a variety of labor-intensive duties, including, but not limited to, cleaning vehicles, job sites, and the shop/garage, loading and unloading vehicles, patching and repairing streets, shoveling gravel/asphalt (other material as needed), trimming and/or removing trees, digging trenches, compacting earth, installing guardrails, repairs, patching potholes, and assisting with other duties as required. Maintains a safe work area, including placing and removing cones, barricades, and warning devices, and/or directing traffic at work sites to ensure the safety of the work crew and the public; cleans up work sites upon completion of the job; picks up all tools and equipment; secures the job site if returning later.
