Requires extensive knowledge of various metals and of measurements used in machining processes\n Determines dimensions and tolerances of piece to be machined, sequence of operations and machines required by studying specifications, such as blueprints, sketches, damaged parts, or descriptions of parts\n Computes cutting speeds, feed rates and dimensions\n Prepares and pre-sets all tools needed for machining operations\n Responsible for rigging and transporting large parts and equipment by crane\n Inspects machined work pieces to verify conformance to specifications\n Performs housekeeping of machine and work area\n \n\n Receives and disseminates written and verbal instruction, direction and training from Supervisor or other Senior Managers\n Trains group members and may participate in performance appraisal process.\n Maintains a clean and safe work area\n Monitor and ensure shipments are loaded and rigged properly.\n Ensure completion of operational documentation for assigned group, such as travelers, map sheets, job routers, work requests to other departments, etc.\n Ensure completion of safety documentation for assigned groups, such as first reports of injury, environmental mishaps, JSA's, etc\n \nRequired Education/Experience: \n\n A minimum of 2 years of machining experience required\n A minimum of 1 year of prior leadership required\n CNC programming experience is preferred\n \nAt Primetals Technologies, we value difference for the benefit of our Employees, our Customers and our Community.
