The Division of Information Security is seeking Technical Writing resources to support secure deployment and management of the State-Wide Information Technology Shared Services initiatives and projects. Communicates with it leadership, business leadership and it business consultants to communicate program strategy, direction and changes.

Job Title: Senior Technical Writer Duration: 12 months Location: Columbia, SC – 29201 (Candidate MUST be able to commute to the Columbia office as needed. (Resources must be local to South Carolina ONLY)Note: Candidates applying for this role must be eligible for getting security clearance whenever needed by the client. Overview:The Division of Information Security is seeking Technical Writing resources to support secure deployment and management of the State-Wide Information Technology Shared Services initiatives and projects.Responsibilities:<ul><li>This implementation assistance would include, but is not limited to:</li><li>Status reporting of operational support tasks and related work efforts.</li><li>Identifying metrics and key performance indicators (kpis) of processes and their output.</li><li>Create, manage and maintain policy, plan, process, procedure and other program documents such as process flows, standard operating procedures, desk manuals and procedural guidelines.</li><li>Review, edit, and maintain documentation consistency and accuracy for documentation submitted by both staff and vendors</li><li>Monitor and support deadlines, milestones and activities</li><li>Apply change, risk and resource management</li><li>Document all meetings attended, directives, and significant phone conversations.</li><li>Develop and deliver professional technical program updates to client leadership and supporting staff.</li><li>Communicates with it leadership, business leadership and it business consultants to communicate program strategy, direction and changes.</li><li>Responsible for tracking key project milestones and recommending adjustments to project managers</li><li>Must possess extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of microsoft office tools.</li></ul>Required Skills (Rank in Order of Importance):<ul><li>Excellent Technical Writing Skills; Technical Writing Experience</li><li>Ability To Create Effective and Clear Process Flows and Similar Diagrams In PowerPoint Or Visio</li></ul>Preferred Skills (Rank in Order of Importance):<ul><li>Simultaneously Manage Multiple Reporting Requirements</li><li>Strong Schedule Management and Planning Skills</li><li>Support Regulatory Compliance Projects</li><li>5+ Years of Experience in Technical Writing</li><li>Experience With Technical SOP Documentation and Graphic Creation in Vision</li></ul>Required Education/Certifications:<ul><li>Bachelor's Degree or an Associate's Degree With 2 Years of Experience</li></ul>Soft Skills: <ul><li>Excellent team player</li><li>Excellent Problem-Solving Ability</li><li>Excellent communication (Written and verbal) skills</li><li>Ability to work at a high volume and fast pace</li><li>Strong collaborator and strong ability to meet deadlines</li><li>Ability to identify, map, and support business processes</li></ul>For more details reach at resumes@navitassols.com
