Develops and implements vehicle maintenance policies and programs for transit vehicles, including management and support of Federal Transit Administration (FTA) related activities, including Public Transportation Agency Safety Plan (PTASP), Safety Management Systems (SMS), FTA Safety Bulletins and Advisories, FTA State of Good Repair, and FTA Transit Asset Management. The Superintendent, Bus Maintenance, is a mid-level management position responsible for supporting safe, courteous, clean, convenient, comfortable, reliable, cost-efficient, and on-time transportation for customers through effective leadership and oversight of bus maintenance.
