Installs, repairs, replaces and performs preventive maintenance all components of traffic signal systems including span poles, mast arms, span wires, guy wires, assemble traffic signal heads; wire signal heads; wire detectors; install conduit, cable closures, and maintain records of repairs and timing changes. Under the general supervision of the Traffic Signal Supervisor, performs journey level work in the installation, repair and preventative maintenance of electrical and electronically controlled traffic signal control equipment, traffic video and detection equipment; operates a bucket truck, and supervises assigned assistants; does related work as required.
