In addition to caring for cardiac patients, the unit provides comprehensive care to a diverse medical-surgical population with a wide range of diagnoses, including, but not limited to, congestive heart failure (CHF), chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), pneumonia, sepsis, acute and chronic kidney disease, gastrointestinal disorders, and various metabolic complications. Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) assist with medication administration and bedside nursing care, while Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) support with ambulation, obtaining labs, activities of daily living (ADLs), and other essential patient care tasks assuring seamless and efficient care delivery.
