Identify and apply free trade agreement and preference programs to reduce duty exposure (e.g., USMCA, EU/UK- Vietnam FTA, ASEAN trade agreements, GCC arrangements, AANZFTA), and assess rules-of-origin risk — particularly for products manufactured in Mexico with components sourced from China, where dual-originexposure exists. The role works closely with the China/Southeast Asia buying and sourcing teams, the Mexico manufacturing facility, customs brokers and freight forwarders in each market, and surety/bond providers, to keep shipments compliant and identify and resolve compliance risk before it becomes a liability.
