Travel PCU RN assignment,week contract, 48 guaranteed hours per week, 12-hour night shifts 6:30 PM-6:30 AM, 40-bed PCU with average daily census of 24, nurse-to-patient ratio 1:4-5 on days and nights, adult patient population including cardiac Med-Surg, dialysis, cancer, vascular, sepsis, respiratory, stroke, post-stent, post-pacemaker and renal failure patients, EPIC charting, Trauma Level II acute care setting, RNs independently read and interpret telemetry, titrate Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone and insulin drips, arterial line competency required, high-flow respiratory equipment, charge nurse available each shift, patient care tech ratio approximately 1:12, float to Med-Surg or ICU to care for PCU-acuity patients, every-other-weekend requirement, minimum 2 holidays during the contract, navy blue scrubs, 1 day of unit-specific orientation, overhead and portable lifts, vein finders and bladder scanner available, team-oriented environment focused on patient experience, communication and responsiveness.
