The position will require good interpersonal skills that allow the candidate to effectively collaborate with other team members of varying backgrounds and experiences. As of now, we employ multiple engineers specializing in Land Development, Traffic and Transportation, Municipal and Energy markets. In addition, we have drafting professionals, landscape architects, a utility coordinator, a construction manager, three survey crews and a GIS analyst. We have a diverse staff in terms of work experience and area of expertise. Generally, if you are willing to learn, we are willing to teach you. Essential job functions include: <ul><li>Perform design and drafting in AutoDesk Civil 3D software. Understand drafting standards and file configurations. </li><li>Prepare grading plans, site designs, layouts, and details under the direction of a Professional Engineer. </li><li>Prepare stormwater and other infrastructure design calculations, assemble reports and permit packages. </li><li>Prepare quantity takeoffs and estimate construction costs. </li><li>Researches and reviews permit requirements, codes, regulations, and design standards and applies them during routine design tasks. </li><li>Coordinates with municipalities and/or permit agencies. </li><li>Coordinates with other members of the design team. </li><li>Other duties as assigned </li></ul>PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS This position is suited to a self-motivated, professional person who can confidently work with a variety of people from different backgrounds within the Civil Engineering field.
