Core Skills: Medical ICU experience, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, 12-lead EKG/ECG, IV insulin protocols, port access and management, blood product administration, IV initiation and maintenance, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, CVA/acute stroke management, ventilated patient care, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), pulmonary edema and embolism management, respiratory failure, infection prevention, and isolation precautions/PPE. Additional Skills: GI surgery, acute kidney injury, renal failure management, arterial line management, central line and PICC line care, TPN/Lipids, continuous IV sedation, emergency medications, chest tube assistance, BiPAP/CPAP management, fresh tracheostomy care, ABG interpretation, ETT/NT suctioning, ventilator management, phlebotomy, PT/PTT/INR, and recognition of infection in immunosuppressed patients.
