Operating within an expansive 60-bed Emergency Department managing an exceptionally high census of 275+ patient visits daily at a 5x Magnet-designated 426-bed tertiary medical center, Comprehensive Cardiac Center, and Primary Stroke Receiving Center, this specialty role features a balanced 36-hour overnight schedule (18:00 PM – 06:30 AM / 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM, three 12-hour shifts guaranteed weekly with built-in California daily overtime). While this campus operates as a dedicated non-trauma receiving center, the emergency clinical team manages an exceptionally high-volume, highly complex clinical workload encompassing acute myocardial infarctions (STEMI receiving), acute neurological emergencies (Comprehensive Stroke receiving), severe sepsis resuscitation bundles, advanced psychiatric/behavioral health holds, and pediatric emergency stabilization.
