Must hold valid New York State RN licensure, current CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications; have the ability to work both independently and cooperatively with other nursing and instructional staff; possess top-notch oral and written skills and strong attention to detail; be willing to take responsibility for students' wellbeing; and the ability to appropriately respond to pediatric illness and/or injury including, but not limited to, G-tube feedings, airway maintenance and seizure response. Previous experience working with special needs patients and experience with tracheostomy care, gastrostomy feedings and seizures (including those with Diastat) strongly preferred.
