Along with the supervising Director, responsibilities will vary depending on the nature of the initiative and may include but not be limited to: + Formulating and overseeing the execution of detailed project plans + Directing the work of external consultants, including acting as their ambassador in the execution of their work, reviewing deliverables, breaking down barriers as they arise, and providing strategic direction + Reporting project status and results to senior leadership + Potential support for M&A and divestiture transactions, including diligence and integration/separation support + Contract review and analysis + Preparation and review of financial analysis necessary to support initiatives + Engaging cross-functional stakeholders to support critical initiatives and bridging the gap between departmental responsibilities where necessary (Business partners will often include Accounting, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Legal, Indirect Procurement, HR, Global Technology and Business Services, Business Segment Operations, and other corporate shared service functions) + Process and internal control assessment and design/redesign + Tracking and executing initiatives within approved budgets **_Qualifications_** + 8-12 years of experience, preferred + 2+ years of management experience, preferred + Bachelor's degree in related field preferred, or equivalent work experience, preferred. **_What Accounting contributes to Cardinal Health_** Finance oversees the accounting, tax, financial plans and policies of the organization, establishes and maintains fiscal controls, prepares and interprets financial reports, oversees financial systems and safeguards the organization's assets.
