Communicate promptly with the coordinator and team • Maintain a positive and welcoming attitude toward all students • Be punctual, prepared, and engaged during tutoring sessions • Practice active listening and provide constructive feedback • Encourage student success and celebrate progress • Maintain confidentiality and uphold the Gateway Student Code of Conduct • Exhibit professionalism in behavior, attire, and technology use • Utilize appropriate resources and refer students when necessary • Consult with the coordinator regarding student progress and concerns • Participate in training and professional development • Reach out to students referred for tutoring • Accurately report hours worked and submit timesheets by the 15th and 30th of each month • Perform other duties as assigned. Peer tutors support fellow students in mastering course content through various formats, including homework assistance, test preparation, and skill-building.
