Summary The Commercial Lines Account Manager is accountable for delivering high quality and efficient service to both internal and external customers while adhering to the highest ethical standards, promoting the image of the Agency and providing superior levels of customer satisfaction that drive long-term relationships, referral business and the attainment of profit goals. Responsibilities and Duties ➢ Respond to customer inquiries, including questions concerning coverage, billing, underwriting and claims as well as requests for binders, FS-20s and certificates, in a timely manner. ➢ Assist in the completion of applications and supplemental questionnaires in coordination with producers as necessary. Submit completed applications to appropriate markets. Obtain and organize quotes and prepare proposals as needed. ➢ Review all new and renewal policies, endorsements and audits to verify accuracy and facilitate corrections as needed. Overview:
Hudson Valley Credit Union is currently recruiting for the position of Home Equity Underwriter. Primary Function: Make independent loan decisions by approving, denying and counter-offering home equity loans and lines of credit within loan approval authority limits. Ensure compliance with established Credit Union policies, department procedures, lending regulations, state and federal laws.

Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Approve, deny and counter-offer home equity loans and lines of credit in accordance with prudent industry best practices.  Analyze credit, income, and collateral to make independent decisions in the best interest of the Credit Union’s desire to serve our members and risk tolerance. Communicate the decision to members, directly and indirectly.  Document loan exceptions thoroughly.</li><li>Ensure that documents required by Truth in Lending and RESPA are issued in accordance with current regulations.</li><li>Responsible for data integrity in all consumer loan systems.</li><li>Responsible for entering thorough comments in loan systems to support the follow-up and document authentication practices.</li><li>Request appropriate services required for new Home Equity applications.</li><li>Review and analyze title searches and full title reports to identify issues, confirm lien position, mitigate risk, and ensure clear title; engage title companies for clarification, and resolution as needed.</li><li>Handle member interactions and internal customers over the phone, in writing or in person in a timely, professional manner.</li><li>Maintain satisfactory level of technical knowledge and professional skill to keep up with current developments and changes in regulations.</li><li>Adhere to all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements. Participate in all required and recommended training and development including, but not limited to, Bank Secrecy Act training (BSA) and demonstrate attained knowledge. Participate on Credit Union teams, projects and strategic initiatives when the opportunity arises. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned. </li><li>Embrace and apply HVCU’s guiding principles to all activities and responsibilities.
