Patient Population: Comprehensive oncology patient care including bladder/kidney cancer, brain cancer, breast cancer, colorectal cancer, ENT cancers, liver cancer, lung cancer, melanoma, ovarian/uterine cancer, pancreatic cancer, prostate cancer, hematologic malignancies (leukemia/blood dyscrasias, lymphoma/non-Hodgkin lymphoma, multiple myeloma), bone marrow transplant patients, clinical trial participants, and surgical oncology patients. Clinical Competencies Required: Chemotherapy and Biotherapy: Administration and monitoring of cytotoxic therapy, continuous infusions, IV push and oral chemotherapy, specific and nonspecific immunotherapy, interferons, interleukins, post-chemotherapy body fluid handling, cytotoxic spill response and disposal, recognition and management of treatment side effects, and interpretation of abnormal laboratory values.
