Collect trash from all outside trash cans throughout the Gardens • Check all restrooms, stock and clean as shown on schedule and/or needed • Sweep outside walkways of Visitor Center, Café and Gift Shop areas as needed • Clean and maintain buildings of BTG (which include: Visitor Center, Exhibit Hall, Bathrooms, Theatre, Horticulture Offices and Building, Information Booth, Annex Storage, Olmsted house, North Walk Restrooms, Discovery Center Restrooms, Discovery Center Classroom) • Sweeping, mopping, collecting trash, dusting ceilings/walls, cleaning windows/mirrors to include interior and exterior • Be visible and available to assist visitors with questions and/or problems • Monitor all public facilities (gardens, restrooms, picnic areas, etc.) to ensure their cleanliness and presentation for the public. • Some exposure to general cleaning chemicals used for janitorial purposes • Able to work outside in summer and winter climates • Occasional reaching, stooping, bending, crouching, repetitive arm motions or light lifting (up to 60 lbs.) • Continuous communication and/or interaction with staff, volunteers, and visitors.
