Since 1952, Light of Life Rescue Mission has been a safe refuge for homeless and hurting people in the Pittsburgh area. We are seeking a full-time Volunteer Experience Specialist. This person will proactively recruit and effectively connect volunteers into Light of Life volunteer positions and outreach events. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES<ol><li>Cultivates volunteer relationships and coordinatesplacement.<ol><li>Work with staff to identify and scale volunteer needs, create volunteer role descriptions, and advertise opportunities to our volunteer community.</li><li>Respond to volunteer requests andorient them to the variety of work we do.</li><li>Connect interested volunteers with opportunities for them to serve. Ensure they know the time, location, and requirements of their service.</li><li>Provide timely and thorough answers to all questions and requests from volunteers.</li><li>Manage volunteer schedules,volunteer data (including background checks and paperwork), and database using the volunteer software to track and report on volunteer work. </li></ol></li><li>Builds volunteer capacity by coordinating in-depth orientations, growth opportunities, events, and programs for high-capacity volunteers.<ol><li>Work with staff to identify areas where committed, high-impact volunteers are needed. </li><li>Create a team of high-impact volunteers who volunteer 20-40 hours a week in various departments.</li></ol></li><li>Leads campaigns forcommunity outreach events such asDays of Hope, Thanksgiving meal distribution, and Christmas celebrations. NSCHC was created by three compassionate physicians and multiple community partners and volunteers in 1993. NSCHC would like murals drawn/painted in the three exam rooms at the Northview Heights Clinic.

VOLUTEER OPPORTUNITY - NSCHC would like murals drawn/painted in the three exam rooms at the Northview Heights Clinic. If unable to donate supplies, must be able to provide a quote for supplies. Must be willing to clean-up supplies and area when done for the day, so that clinic may proceed during business hours. VOLUNTEER IMPACTNSCHC was created by three compassionate physicians and multiple community partners and volunteers in 1993. It now serves over 4000 patients. In 2008, a small clinic opened in Northview Heights public housing community. To brighten up the cinderblock and the ambiance, an artist painted multiple murals throughout the clinic. However, during recent repairs and renovations, these murals were painted over. It would be wonderful to re-instate the colors and the positive imagery into this space again!
