Ideal for a public health professional with a passion for community engagement and academic collaboration, this position offers a unique opportunity to shape occupational health services and policies.</li></ul><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><p><strong>Outreach & Education:</strong></p><ul><li>Design, lead, and refine the center's outreach and education strategies.</li><li>Conduct community and stakeholder needs assessments to inform programming.</li><li>Develop tailored educational materials and facilitate workshops on occupational and environmental health.</li><li>Increase visibility of the center's services among diverse audiences: workers, healthcare providers, unions, employers, and community groups.</li><li>Manage and support community partners contracted for outreach efforts.</li></ul><p><strong>Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration:</strong></p><ul><li>Serve as liaison to the center's advisory board and key stakeholders across public health, legal, and labor sectors.</li><li>Build and maintain partnerships with employers to advance workplace health initiatives.</li><li>Align outreach with clinical operations through close collaboration with the center's staff and leadership.</li></ul><p><strong>Grant Development & Fundraising:</strong></p><ul><li>Research and pursue funding opportunities from government agencies and private foundations.</li><li>Lead or support the development of grant proposals, budgets, reports, and related materials.</li><li>Work with medical and research leadership on project planning tied to funding pursuits.</li></ul><p><strong>Research, Data Analysis & Strategy:</strong></p><ul><li>Contribute to occupational health research projects and program evaluations.</li><li>Perform data extraction, cleaning, and analysis using tools such as SAS, R, Stata, or Excel.</li><li>Author scientific publications, white papers, and conference presentations.</li></ul><p><strong>Quality Improvement & Operations:</strong></p><ul><li>Lead quality improvement projects to enhance service delivery and outcomes.</li><li>Develop systems for performance monitoring and data-informed decision-making.</li><li>Ensure alignment with regulatory standards from OSHA, EPA, and other relevant bodies.</li></ul><p><strong>Academic & Educational Contributions:</strong></p><ul><li>Teach 1–2 academic courses annually in public health or medical education.</li><li>Mentor MPH and medical students on research projects and field placements.</li><li>Contribute lectures or modules to medical and public health curricula.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><p><strong>Required:</strong></p><ul><li>Master of Public Health (MPH) or related field with specialization in social, behavioral, occupational, or environmental health.</li><li>Minimum 5 years of professional experience in occupational/public health, education, or related sectors.</li><li>Proven success in grant writing and management.</li><li>Strong analytical skills and experience using data to inform strategies.</li><li>Excellent communication skills tailored to both technical and community audiences.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to manage projects independently and collaboratively.</li><li>Local travel required for outreach and stakeholder engagement.</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred:</strong></p><ul><li>Doctoral degree (PhD, DrPH) in Public Health or a related field.</li><li>Bilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish) to enhance outreach effectiveness.</li><li>Experience mentoring students or supervising teams.</li><li>Familiarity with academic publishing and professional presentations.</li></ul><p><strong>Location Perks:</strong></p><ul><li>Based in a vibrant and culturally rich region, the center is located within a university-affiliated setting offering access to world-class research, a collaborative academic community, and an excellent quality of life with affordable living, beautiful natural surroundings, and a strong sense of community.</li></ul><p><strong>Why Join them?</strong></p><ul><li>At this center, you’ll be part of a respected, forward-thinking team improving occupational health through evidence-based interventions and inclusive community engagement.
