Desirable Preference may be given to candidates with experience in one or more of the following: Emergency vehicle repair on fire trucks, fire apparatus, and medic units; Repairing diesel engines (Cummins, Caterpillar, Detroit, or International), transmissions (Allison, Fuller, or Eaton), or hydraulic systems; Performing computerized diagnostic testing to troubleshoot complex engine, mechanical, or electrical problems; Training other mechanics; and/or . The Auto Equipment Bureau provides maintenance and repair services to all County and Schools fleet vehicles, including heavy fire apparatus, buses, dump trucks, utility trucks, passenger vehicles, snow-related equipment, and other heavy and light equipment.
