Duties & Responsibilities <ul><li>Teaching assignments may vary depending on the specific qualifications and expertise of the individual. </li><li>Provide students with a complete syllabus containing course outcomes and competencies </li><li>Present well prepared, organized, and clear lectures and classroom activities consistent with the course syllabus </li><li>Continually promote development and effective use of skills in areas such as critical and analytical thinking, evaluation, communication, computation, problem solving, assessment, and decision-making </li><li>Provide students with timely information and feedback on academic progress relative to quizzes, tests, homework, and projects </li><li>Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of student academic performance; and possess a thorough knowledge and understanding of all college policies. </li><li>Use technology tools including, but not limited to, Canvas, Starfish, e-mail, MS Office, and the Internet. </li></ul>Additional Duties And Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To: <ul><li>Perform additional duties as assigned. </li></ul>Minimum Qualifications: Physical Requirements: Requires frequent and continuous sitting/moving about, continuous use of fine motor skills, and pushing and pulling of up to 20 lbs. Treatment Nurse (LVN)Orchard Post Acute - Bakersfield, CA Pay Range: $27.00 - $28.00 per hour Status: Full-Time / Part-Time General PurposeThe primary purpose of the Treatment Nurse (LVN) position is to provide specialized skin care and wound treatment services to residents in accordance with physician orders, facility policies, and regulatory requirements. The Treatment Nurse is responsible for monitoring resident skin integrity, administering treatments, coordinating care with the interdisciplinary team, and ensuring documentation is accurate and compliant with federal and state guidelines. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Clinical Care & Treatment <ul><li>Assess, identify, manage, and treat skin conditions including abrasions, ulcers, infections, and other dermatologic concerns</li><li>Provide wound care treatments and monitor healing progress in accordance with physician orders</li><li>Perform comprehensive skin assessments and quarterly dermatologic evaluations</li><li>Provide therapeutic nursing care under physician or Medical Director supervision</li><li>Ensure residents with pressure injuries receive appropriate prevention and treatment interventions, including turning schedules, skin monitoring, and nutritional support</li><li>Provide direct nursing care in emergency situations or when illness or disability requires intervention</li><li>Assist with resident admissions, transfers, and discharges as needed</li><li>Support rehabilitation activities including range of motion exercises, ambulation assistance, and emotional support when appropriate</li></ul>Care Coordination <ul><li>Collaborate with the Interdisciplinary Care Plan Team to develop and implement comprehensive care plans</li><li>Provide written and oral reports to the attending physician, Medical Director, and Director of Nursing (DON) regarding resident status and treatment outcomes</li><li>Confer with physicians and nursing leadership regarding dermatologic care needs</li><li>Participate in care planning meetings and facility committees as assigned</li><li>Assist with coordinating services with outside agencies and family members when necessary</li></ul>Documentation & Compliance <ul><li>Accurately document resident assessments, treatments, and responses in the medical record</li><li>Maintain confidentiality of resident information and Protected Health Information (PHI)</li><li>Report suspected or known violations of privacy or unauthorized access to facility systems</li><li>Maintain records of resident complaints and grievances and report concerns to the Director of Nursing</li><li>Ensure resident rights are honored, including respecting refusals of treatment in accordance with facility policies</li></ul>Safety & Infection Control <ul><li>Follow established infection prevention and safety protocols</li><li>Report occupational exposures to blood, body fluids, infectious materials, or hazardous chemicals in accordance with facility policy</li><li>Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) including gloves, gowns, masks, and safety equipment when necessary</li><li>Assist in monitoring and maintaining adequate supplies of wound care products and medical supplies</li></ul>Education & Professional Development <ul><li>Participate in in-service training programs related to wound care and dermatologic nursing practices</li><li>Assist with staff education related to skin integrity and treatment protocols as requested by nursing leadership</li><li>Attend continuing education programs to maintain professional licensure and remain current in clinical practice</li></ul>Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThis position may assist with guidance and support of nursing staff regarding wound care protocols and skin integrity monitoring.
