This includes, but is not limited to:Operates all pharmacy automation and technology in accordance with policy, procedures, and manufacturing instructions to support inventory management, drug preparation, and dispensing processes across all medication storage locations (patient care units, ORs, procedural areas, trays, kits, code carts, etc.)Demonstrates proficiency in the management and distribution of all trays and kits prepared/managed by the pharmacyDemonstrates proficiency in general non-sterile compounding procedures (compounding oral liquids, packaging oral solids, and all labeling and documentation as required for dispensing) Assists the purchasing staff with functions related to drug purchasing and inventory control as needed. The certified pharmacy technician I am responsible for supporting dispensing and restocking functions from the central pharmacy to patient care, OR, and procedural areas utilizing automated inventory dispensing machines (e.g., carousel) and cabinets (e.g., Pyxis/Anesthesia Pyxis machines) as well as various medication trays and carts and essential non-sterile compounding (USP 795) tasks.
