Position Title: Environmental Services AideLocation: Geneva, NY 14456Schedule: 7a-3:30 pm | Monday - Friday | 40 hours weekly | No holidays or weekend requirementPay: $16/hr.Requirement: Must have a personal vehicle; public transportation is not available in this area.Overview: Seeking an experienced Environmental Services Aide to support daily housekeeping and sanitation operations within the Surgical Services department. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for patients, visitors, and staff.Preferred Qualifications:<ul class="list-disc pl-8"><li>High school diploma or equivalent</li><li>Previous hospital housekeeping or environmental services experience</li></ul>Key Responsibilities:<ul class="list-disc pl-8"><li>Operate and maintain electrical, battery-powered, and mechanical cleaning equipment such as burnishers, auto scrubbers, rotary scrubbers, and vacuum cleaners.</li><li>Follow all Infection Control, Right to Know, and Personal Protective Equipment guidelines to ensure safety when working around chemicals, bodily fluids, and other potentially hazardous substances.</li><li>Incorporate safety protocols into all tasks, including proper use of “wet floor” signs, responding to emergency pages, practicing safe ergonomics, and handling cleaning chemicals correctly.</li><li>Maintain assigned areas in a clean, sanitary condition, including restrooms, beds, furniture, fixtures, and other patient or staff spaces.</li><li>Refill supplies, remove trash and soiled linen promptly, and ensure rooms are ready for use.</li><li>Complete all assigned tasks efficiently and in a timely manner.</li></ul>
