Must be flexible to work a combination of weekday shifts, which may run 3:00pm to 9:00pm and weekend shifts taking place between the 7:00am to 9:00pm timeframe (afternoon shifts will vary depending on seasonal daylight hours) Preferred Qualifications:Graduation from high school or GED equivalent, andCombination of education and experience which would demonstrate ability to perform the workComputer skills sufficient to send and receive e-mail, make entries into computerized work order system from a mobile device, fill out electronic forms, and open/view attachments such as schedules, training bulletins, and other communicationAbility to perform manual labor for extended periods of time; Willingness to work outside in all types of weather. Some typical tasks for this position will include:Removal of trash, litter and debrisWeeding, mowing, string-trimming and maintenance of turfgrass, ornamental beds, and other areasService park restrooms, pavilions, gazebos, playgrounds, park equipment and facilitiesMoving, repairing and cleaning of picnic tables, benches, barbecue grills and other park amenitiesPerforming trail maintenance such as cutting back foliage, grading, clearing obstacles, making repairsBaseball and athletic field maintenance such as mowing, dragging, painting and chalking linesLocking and unlocking gates, cabins and facilitiesSnow removal and salting of sidewalks during winter monthsOther duties as assigned.
