QualificationsMinimum of three (3)+ years of combined CNC machining and/or 5‑axis laser experienceStrong background in CNC lathe and mill setup, operation, and program editingExperience setting up and operating 5‑axis CNC laser machinesStrong manual machining background preferredProven ability to machine close‑tolerance aerospace parts and minor toolingAbility to read and interpret blueprints, engineering instructions, and traveler documentsProficiency in working with dimensions and tolerances in both metric and inch formatsKnowledge of various material types, including metal alloys, and proper machining methodsUnderstanding of feeds and speeds for different materials and processesAbility to troubleshoot machining and laser cutting issues, including tool wear, breakage, and program errorsExperience editing CNC/NC programs and making minor adjustments as neededAbility to work and communicate effectively with others and follow direction from supervisorsWillingness to work on various assignments within or outside the machine shop/laser as neededThis position requires access to information or technology that is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
