Install, maintain, and repair aerial fiber optic and telecommunications lines • Climb poles, towers, and other structures to access lines and equipment • Splice, connect, terminate, test, and troubleshoot fiber optic and telecommunications cables • Assist with job site setup, including staging equipment, tools, and materials • Perform daily inspections of equipment, tools, and safety gear • Follow all OSHA and company safety policies, including participation in daily safety meetings and proper use of required PPE • Work collaboratively with crew members and communicate effectively with supervisors regarding progress, safety concerns, and site conditions • Maintain a professional and respectful attitude when interacting with coworkers, property owners, and the public. Knowledge of aerial fiber optic and telecommunications installation practices, familiarity with climbing equipment, hand tools, and power tools, and understanding of basic construction and electrical safety practices are also required.
