Engineering Technician II - Successful completion of two (2) academic years or sixty (60) semester units of college level engineering technology courses or related field from an accredited college or university may be substituted for the required experience in sub-professional engineering work performing materials sampling and testing, reviewing plans and specifications, construction or infrastructure inspections, traffic engineering, or working on a field survey crew. In addition to the duties listed above, Engineering Technician I/IIs assigned to the Green Stormwater Inspection Team within the Infrastructure Maintenance Division typically perform the following specialized functions: Supports the Green Stormwater Inspection team, inspecting, evaluating, and documenting the performance and construction of GSI systems-such as bioretentions, permeable pavers, tree well filters, and retention basins.
