Execute a broad range of mechanical maintenance, including: • Repair/replacement of boiler tubes • Structural steel erection • Replacement of liner plates in fans, coal chutes, and hoppers • Welding repairs to castings and equipment • Piping/valve work (measuring, layout, cutting, threading, bending, fitting, installation) • Replacement of flange, valve, and heater gaskets; valve repacking, repair, overhaul • Cleaning/replacement of condenser and heat exchanger tubes • Where applicable, repair of traveling water screens. High School Diploma or GED, and either: • Completion of a two-year technical college program and 5 years working as a Certified Welder Repairman, • Completion of a certified apprentice program and 5 years working as a Certified Welder Repairman, • Ten (10) years working as a Certified Welder Repairman.
