SummaryThe Assembly Woodworker is responsible for assembling high-quality wood products by operating woodworking machinery and using hand tools. This role requires precision, efficiency, and craftsmanship to ensure all products meet our high-quality standards.Essential Duties & Responsibilities<ul><li>Assemble wood components following drawings and cut lists.</li><li>Use various joinery techniques such as dowels, pocket screws, and biscuits.</li><li>Operate woodworking machines such as saws, and shapers.</li><li>Use hand tools such as drills, screwdrivers, chisels, hammers, and routers to assemble and finish pieces.</li><li>Read and measure accurately using a tape measure.</li><li>Fit, glue, and clamp parts to form completed units.</li><li>Sand, scrape, and prepare surfaces and joints for finishing.</li><li>Install hardware such as hinges and catches.</li><li>Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.</li><li>Follow lean manufacturing principles and company procedures.</li><li>Work collaboratively with the team and flex into different roles as needed.</li><li>Adhere to safety regulations and wear required protective equipment.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>High school diploma or GED preferred.</li><li>Minimum of 2 years of woodworking or related experience</li><li>Ability to read blueprints, cut lists, and work orders.</li><li>Familiarity with woodworking machinery and tools.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.</li><li>Physical ability to lift up to 60 lbs, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks.</li><li>Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and reliability.</li></ul>Work Environment<ul><li>Exposure to sawdust, vibration, and noise from machinery.</li><li>Work near moving mechanical parts and power equipment.</li><li>Temperature variations depending on the season.</li><li>Required use of safety equipment based on position (hearing protection, safety glasses, respirators).</li></ul>Essential Duties & Reasonable AccommodationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
