Seattle Search Group is partnering with a well-established private family office to identify a Staff Accountant. This is a unique opportunity to support a sophisticated, multi-entity environment while working closely with an experienced accounting team responsible for the financial operations of a family office and its related entities.
The ideal candidate enjoys a variety of accounting responsibilities, with a strong emphasis on full-cycle accounts payable, while also supporting general ledger accounting, reconciliations, cash management, and special projects. This role offers broad exposure to family office accounting in a highly collaborative, service-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
Manage the full-cycle accounts payable process utilizing electronic approval workflows.
Maintain general ledger activity for multiple entities.
Prepare monthly bank, credit card, and investment account reconciliations.
Record journal entries and intercompany transactions.
Assist with month-end close and financial reporting.
Coordinate annual 1099 reporting and vendor maintenance.
Support year-end tax reporting and accounting schedules.
Monitor cash activity and assist with treasury-related tasks.
Maintain organized accounting records and electronic documentation.
Assist with entity administration, banking relationships, and various accounting projects.
Partner with the Controller to improve accounting processes and operational efficiencies.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
1-4+ years of accounting experience.
Strong full-cycle Accounts Payable experience.
Experience with general ledger accounting and reconciliations.
QuickBooks Online and Bill.com experience preferred.
Strong Excel skills.
Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
Service-oriented with a "no task too small" mentality.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
