Position Summary

The Accounting Manager will play a key role in overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, managing the monthly close process, and ensuring financial accuracy and compliance. This position requires a strong understanding of GAAP, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally across departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee general accounting functions including GL, AP/AR, fixed assets, and inventory accounting
  • Lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Prepare and review financial statements, journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and relevant accounting standards (GAAP)
  • Collaborate with operations, procurement, and supply chain teams on cost and inventory analysis
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities in partnership with finance leadership
  • Assist with internal and external audits
  • Supervise and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering professional growth and performance
  • Continuously evaluate accounting processes and systems for improvements and efficiencies
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA a plus)
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards
  • Experience in manufacturing or consumer goods industry preferred
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, or similar) and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a team-oriented mindset
