Ci is seeking a motivated and experienced industry professional to contribute to our architectural projects in our Boston office. Reporting to the COO, in this role you will be responsible for the overall financial management of a portfolio of projects within Ci's Mission Critical practice.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


Primary responsibilities associated with this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Financial management of projects assigned by the Project Manager, which includes but is not limited to project setup, maintenance, invoicing, and project closure.
  • Build strong relationships with and serve as a trusted advisor to our internal business partners including Project Managers, other Project Accountants, Finance Managers, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, to ensure collaborative teamwork.
  • Independently organize and prioritize workload to ensure timely completion of deliverables. Escalate concerns/issues as required.
  • Implement process or procedural changes identified and rolled out by management.
  • Collaborate with PM's for project work breakdown structures (WBS), issue accurate and contractually compliant invoices, and perform other ad hoc functions as requested.
  • Evaluate project setup and budget change documentation to ensure compliance with contractual requirements and internal controls.
  • Monitoring accounts receivable and collections


SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE


  • Strong understanding of project accounting principles within the architecture, engineering, or construction industry.
  • Experience managing financial aspects of complex projects from setup through closeout
  • Knowledge of project budgeting, forecasting, revenue recognition, contract compliance, and invoicing procedures.
  • Ability to analyze financial data.
  • Experience with work breakdown structures (WBS), project cost tracking, and budget modifications.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/project management software such as Unanet or Deltek.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and documentation.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with Project Managers, Finance, AP/AR teams, and senior leadership.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of contractual billing requirements and internal financial controls.
  • Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and support implementation of operational efficiencies.
  •  Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven professional services environment.
