Job Description
Sinai's 21-bed Labor and Delivery unit delivers fast-paced, high-acuity care for antepartum, laboring, and postpartum patients, including complex cases managed in partnership with a Level III NICU. It's a collaborative OB environment for nurses who want to build strong high-risk obstetric skills.
The PRN Birth Registrar and Admin Assistant provides support to the indirect care of patients through clerical activities for the patient care units and requires schedule flexibility due to being scheduled as needed.
Birth Registration Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with the clinical team to collect birth information to complete bedside birth registration.
- Collaborates with external organizations to meet State regulatory requirements related to the submission of delivery information.
- Remains informed regarding birth registration and policies along with maintaining compliance related to State certification guidelines.
Administrative Assistant Key Responsibilities:
- Displays collaborative efficient professional communication among patients, family and the healthcare team.
- Promptly prepares, maintains, and processes medical records throughout patients' hospitalization.
- Assist as needed with collection of birth certificate data.
Experience: 1-3 years administrative experience required with birth registrar experience strongly preferred
Licensures & Certifications: Required to complete the birth registrar classes and test administrated by the State within 30 days of hire
Pay Range: $16.00 to $24.75 Based On Experience
