POSITION DETAILS The Fullerton School District and Personnel Commission seek a qualified individual with clerical experience to fill a Clerical Assistant I position. Please note, the Clerical Assistant I Bilingual (Spanish) position requires the ability to speak fluently in both English and Spanish. Competency testing will be given as an integral part of the recruitment process. This career opportunity is an 4-hour day, 10.42-month-year position with hours of 9 am-1 pm Monday through Friday, with paid holidays, sick leave, and vacation. This vacancy is in Nutrition Services. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Education: Equivalent to graduation from high school. Experience: Equivalent to at least one year of experience in clerical and typing work. See Job Description for further Employment Standards. Certificates and other requirements: Candidate will be required to obtain a Red Cross First Aid Certificate. More information will be given to successful candidates. Other: Must be able to speak fluently in both English and Spanish.

RECRUITMENT PROCEDURES This is a merged promotional and open competitive recruitment. The recruitment process may consist of a bilingual, written, performance, and an oral examination. To qualify to be placed on an eligibility list, a candidate must obtain a passing score on each part of the examination. Final scores will be obtained by combining the relative weights of scores on each part of the examination. If Veteran s credit is claimed, proof of status (DD214) must be submitted to the Classified Human Resources Department at the same time the application form is submitted or prior to testing. The resulting eligibility list will be used up to one year (12 months) to fill vacancies. Dates of Exams and Interviews The date(s) of exams and interviews will be announced at a later date. Candidates who are among the most qualified shall be notified via email, and/or telephone of the time, date and place of the examination or interview. Applicants who may need reasonable accommodation for interviewing or testing must notify the Personnel Department at (714) 447-7458 prior to the testing date.
