Conference Sales Manager

The Hilton Charlotte Uptown is an upscale full-service property featuring 400 state of the art guestrooms and over 40,000 square feet of flexible event space in the heart of Uptown Charlotte. We are currently looking for an experienced hospitality professional to become our Conference Sales Manager. Candidate must have at least one year of experience in hotel sales, catering, banquets or event management.

Key responsibilities of the Conference Sales Manager:

• Create a dynamic and positive relationships with meeting planners from sales phase through on-site execution of event.

• Actively prospect and qualify group leads and achieve sales revenue goals.

• Handle inquiries and prepare booking proposals for clients and planners.

• Arrange and conduct site inspections, proposals and presentations for potential clients.

• Maintain accurate information in sales management system on all leads, accounts and group bookings

• Manage assigned market of 40 rooms or less on peak night

• Prepare group contracts, rate agreements and catering event orders

• Conduct site inspections and hotel tours

• Ability to work weekends and/or holidays as needed based on business levels and group meeting schedules

• Follow proper event management procedures and communicate effectively with other hotel departments

• Prepare catering event orders, group resume and billing correspondence

• Strong ability to multi-task and utilize various systems including Delphi and other hotel software platforms.
